"Fighting for peace is like making love for virginity" (John Lennon)
The war has always been there. From time immemorial, human beings have felt the strange need to prevaricate, to subdue, to "expand" on the other constricting similar to "retire". Since Cain said to Abel the sack, as claimed by the believers, the war has plagued this planet and has often been like that biblical fratricide case. I do not like to be
celebration and that is why I chose this period, away from current events or anniversaries, to expose my thoughts.
I do not think we should still discourse on the war: the extremists or crazy can only speak of "just war", but I want to focus on peacekeeping missions. On May 17 Italian troops have been "victim" of yet another ambush by the Taliban in the area of \u200b\u200bBala Murghab. Now I wonder how much longer we leave there, "our boys" to act as a moving target for the Taliban?
I do not know if this war, like any other for that matter, is driven by political and economic reasons. I do not want to know whether the daughter of a colossal lie, or an actual due. I just want to understand why we should still extend the stay of "peacekeepers" in the territories where the nest with their alleged terrorists, as alleged, weapons of mass destruction. What is the purpose than to increase even more
the number of casualties, of such a stubborn will to impose our presence in a nation that now needs to follow his path?
I have no answers, only questions I have: the answers are not being heard, the questions help you think!
